Community Partnerships

At the heart of our mission, Awaken Recovery Foundation is committed to fostering a strong network of community partners who share our dedication to empowering women in recovery. As a grassroots nonprofit based in Cambridge, Maryland, we’ve spent the past five years providing housing and vital support services to individuals overcoming substance use disorder. Our work is driven by collaboration, and through the generous partnerships we’ve built, we’re able to offer holistic care that nurtures both healing and hope. Together with our community, we are changing lives and helping women reclaim their futures.

We are honored to receive the Choptank500 grant from the Choptank Arts & Culture Exchange, which will help us grow our art therapy program at Awaken Recovery Foundation. This support enables us to provide weekly art therapy sessions, offering a creative and therapeutic outlet for the women in our recovery housing program as they work toward lasting recovery. Our deepest gratitude goes to CACE for their dedication to empowering lives through arts and culture in Dorchester County.

Thank you, Choptank Arts & Culture Exchange, for helping us bring healing through the arts!

A heartfelt thank you to Doug, Jen, Tobias, and the entire team at Bistro St. Michael’s. Each year, they host our annual fundraising dinner with such warmth and generosity, with employees even volunteering their time to make the event special. On top of that, a portion of the evening’s proceeds is donated back to Awaken Recovery Foundation to support our operational needs.
