"I am new at this, being in recovery for my very first time. I am learning how to make a difference in my life and how to live with my addictions. Learning how to cope with myself and make changes in my life and live with my disease as a recovering addict was something new to me. Thanks to this program, I can say I have two years of recovery. As a result of learning how to live life on life's terms, I now have a relationship with myself and my family. I am learning how to handle responsibility and create guidelines for my own personal experience being in recovery and continue to work on myself as a person. I am so grateful for the Awaken Recovery Foundation and what this program has done for my life."

"I am so incredibly grateful! All of the women in the house treat each other like family and the staff will go above and beyond to assist you in your recovery and life overall. I know that I am in the absolute right place at this phase of my journey and thank GOD everyday."

"I have been here for almost four months. When I came here, I had nothing. No birth certificate, I.D, or anything. A lot of people don't know how important recovery houses are, because without a recovery house, most of us would be homeless. In active addiction you burn so many bridges, recovery housing is sometimes our last option. Having a recovery house with people who support you is amazing, because you can't do recovery on your own. I came here with nothing, but with the support of the staff I've been able to obtain all the documents necessary to get a job, and I will be starting my first job ever in my life. Thank you Awaken Recovery for giving me the chance to participate in my recovery."

"I thought my life wouldn’t be the same without alcohol and that’s true its so much better. Today I don’t have to worry about the stress of finding out where the next drink is coming from or dodging the family because the want to have the talk with me. Today I can stand proud of what I have become and what you can do when you put your mind to something.
It wasn’t easy and there were some hard times, but I relied on family, the program, my sponsor, my faith and Ashley and Sean and I made it through. Remember if your struggling reach out don’t suffer in silence because there are people that will help you. Today I’m happy with who I am, I have a job where I can help people, I have my family, and I’m content with life. I am 660 days clean, and this was and still is my journey to sobriety."
